API 5L X70 pipe is a premium grade piping material in API 5L standard specifications. Also called L485 pipe, as it’s yield strength minimum in 485 Mpa (300 psi). API 5L X70 covers manufacturing types in seamless and welded (ERW, SAW) types, both applied for oil and gas transmissions.

Ends of tubes are smooth, without threads.
From 60.3 diameter beveled according to standards:
DIN, EN – a = 40° – 60°, c = to 2 mm
ASME – a = 75° ± 5°, c = 1,6 ± 0,8 mm
Marking of API 5L X70 PSL2 Pipe and tube bundles
Tubes with diameter up to 1 ½” are marked with label on the bundle. Tubes with larger diameter than 1 ½” are implemented according to directives or upon request.
API 5L X70 PSL2 Pipe – surface protection
Line pipes are supplied without temporary protection against corrosion. Upon request it is possible to deliver tubes with agreed upon anticorrosion protection. The tube ends may be enclosed by a plastic plug.
